The Eastern Football Netball League (EFNL), formerly known as the Eastern Districts Football League (EDFL) and later the Eastern Football League (EFL) is an Australian rules football and netball league based in the eastern suburbs of metropolitan Melbourne. History The Eastern Districts Football League was established on 15 February 1962, but its origins can be traced back to the Reporter District Football League established in 1903, with the following clubs - Bayswater, Box Hill, Canterbury, Ferntree Gully, Mitcham and Ringwood. The following football associations all played their part in the now Eastern Football Netball League: *The Ringwood District Football Association was established in 1922 and consisted of the following clubs - Croydon, Ferntree Gully, Kilsyth-Monbulk, Ringwood B and Warrandyte. *The Croydon Mail Football League was established in 1945 and consisted of the following clubs - Bayswater, Boronia, Croydon and Kilsyth. Eastern Football League (Scotland)
This was a Scottish non-league football (soccer) competition that ran at various times between 1891 and 1946. Eastern Alliance 1891–92 The Eastern Football Alliance was formed in 1891–92 in Scottish football, 1891–92 by predominantly six Linlithgowshire clubs: Mossend Swifts F.C., Mossend Swifts, Armadale, Bathgate Rovers, Bo'ness F.C., Bo'ness, Broxburn F.C., Broxburn, and Leith Hibernian (a club related to the original Hibernian F.C., Hibernian). Kirkcaldy F.C., Kirkcaldy were later admitted to the league, but withdrew during the season and their results expunged. Leith Hibernian were dissolved before the tournament started, and were replaced by Adventurers F.C., Adventurers. The league remained unfinished and was wound before the season finished. Albany Metro Mallers
The Albany Metro Mallers were a semi-professional football team. The team has regularly appeared in national semipro playoffs and won the national semipro title in 2008, 2013, and 2016. Some of the team's players have gone on to play professional football. The Mallers most recently played in the World Football Federation, a league based in the Northeast. The Mallers finished the 2017 season, which included a trip to Florida for the USFA Semi Pro National Championship Game, with a 12–2 record, but have not played any football since then. The Eastern League of Professional Football was an american football minor league formed in 1926 by independent clubs from Pennsylvania and New Jersey (separate from the ''" Eastern Pennsylvania Football League"'' which played in the late 1930s and early 1940s before World War II, along with the Middle Atlantic's Dixie League). The Eastern League was a regional minor league that never intended to challenge either the National Football League or even Red Grange's new American Football League's, dominance over the sport.
