Earth-Three, or simply Earth-3 or Earth 3, is a “partially-reversed” Earth, where supervillainous counterparts of the mainstream DC superheroes reside. It first appeared in ''Justice League of America'' #29 (August 1964), and the concept has been rebooted several times. Publication history 1964–1985: Original concept Earth-Three was introduced by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky in the August 1964 issue of ''Justice League of America''. Earth-Three's history is depicted as a mirror image to that of the Earth we know. On Earth-Three, Christopher Columbus was American and discovered Europe; England (a colony of America) won freedom in a reversed form of the Revolutionary War (with George Washington surrendering his sword to Charles Cornwallis) in 1774; President John Wilkes Booth was assassinated by actor Abraham Lincoln. Ultraman (DC Comics)
Ultraman is a supervillain appearing in stories published by DC Comics. The character is an evil alternate-universe counterpart of Superman and leader of the Crime Syndicate. Ultraman first appeared in ''Justice League of America'' #29 (August 1964). He has been portrayed in live-action by Tom Welling on the television series ''Smallville''. Publication history Having created the worlds of Earth-One, containing Silver Age of Comic Books, Silver Age superheroes, as well as Earth-Two, containing the Golden Age of Comic Books, Golden Age ones, DC Comics decided to expand the universe to include various themed universes. The first of these was Earth-Three, in which there were villainous counterparts of DC's heroes as well as heroic counterparts of DC's villains. The Crime Syndicate or Crime Syndicate of America (CSA, with America sometimes spelled Amerika) is a team of supervillains featured in DC Comics. The team is composed of evil Multiverse (DC Comics), parallel-universe counterparts of the Justice League. The team first appeared in ''Justice League of America'' #29 in August 1964 with members Ultraman (DC Comics), Ultraman, Owlman (character), Owlman, Superwoman (Crime Syndicate), Superwoman, Johnny Quick (Crime Syndicate), Johnny Quick, and Power Ring (DC Comics), Power Ring, counterparts to Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, and Green Lantern respectively. The Crime Syndicate has undergone several revisions in its publication history.
