David Zindell
David Zindell (born November 28, 1952) is an American science fiction and fantasy epics writer. Writing career Zindell's first published story was "The Dreamer's Sleep" in ''Fantasy Book'' in 1984. His novelette ''Shanidar'', which shared a background with his first novel '' Neverness'', won the Writers of the Future contest in 1985. He followed ''Neverness'' with a sequel trilogy called '' A Requiem for Homo Sapiens''. Zindell's fantasy series ''The Ea Cycle'' has as a theme the evolution of consciousness, through the method of fantasy. The plot concerns a prince named Valashu Elahad searching for a relic called the Lightstone to stop the immortal Morjin, Lord of Lies, who seeks to create a world filled with madness. In 2015 he published ''Splendor'', a nonfiction book, and in 2017 he published ''The Idiot Gods'', a novel told from the point of view of sapient killer whales. The Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme in Palestine and Israel is an international, ecumenical programme that recruits and despatches observers (known as Ecumenical Accompaniers - EAs) to several Palestinian towns and villages to monitor the interaction between the Palestinian inhabitants and the Israeli military. The presence of EAs is intended to offer protection and to moderate friction. Abuses of authority are monitored and reported and EAs speak publicly of their experiences. The EAPPI was founded in 2002 under the auspices of the World Council of Churches, in response to requests from Heads of Churches in Jerusalem. Eko Atlantic, officially Nigeria International Commerce city, also known as Eko Atlantic City, is a planned city in Lagos State, Nigeria, being constructed on land reclaimed from the Atlantic Ocean. Upon completion, the new peninsula is anticipating at least 250,000 residents and a daily flow of 150,000 commuters. The development is also designed to help in stopping the erosion of Lagos city's coastline. Its main objective is to reduce erosion, which includes future sea level rise and storm surges. Ea (also pronounced ''Ie'' in local Basque) is a town and municipality located in the province of Biscay, in the autonomous community of Basque Country, northern Spain. The town has three boroughs: ''Ea'', ''Bedarona'' and ''Natxitua''. The main one, Ea, is the most populated of the municipality, which has a total population of 865 (2014). National Solidarity (, abbreviated E.A.) was the social welfare organization of the EAM resistance movement in occupied Greece during World War II. The decision to establish a resistance organization was taken by Pantelis Karagitsis, Lefteris Apostolou and Aristotelis Bouras, who had just escaped from the internal exile imposed by the pre-war Metaxas Regime.
