The E Queens Boulevard Express/Eighth Avenue Local is a rapid transit service in the B Division (New York City Subway), B Division of the New York City Subway. Its route emblem, or "bullet", is blue since it uses the IND Eighth Avenue Line in Manhattan. The E operates 24 hours daily between Jamaica Center–Parsons/Archer (Archer Avenue Lines), Jamaica Center–Parsons Boulevard–Archer Avenue in Jamaica, Queens, and the World Trade Center (IND Eighth Avenue Line), World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan; limited rush hour service originates and terminates at Jamaica–179th Street (IND Queens Boulevard Line), 179th Street instead of Jamaica Center. The E Line is a light rail line which is part of the rail system operated by the Regional Transportation District in the Denver metropolitan area in Colorado. The line was added to the system on November 17, 2006, with the completion of the Southeast Corridor as part of the T-REX Project. It is one of four routes that are part of the RTD's service plan for the corridor. Route The E Line's northern terminus is at Union Station in downtown Denver. It shares track with the D Line from Union Station to I-25 & Broadway, then diverges by a level junction onto a flyover, and then parallels Interstate 25 from there to Lincoln Avenue in Lone Tree. E Line (Los Angeles Metro)
The E Line (formerly the Expo Line from 2012–2019) is a light rail line in Los Angeles County, California. It is one of the six lines of the Los Angeles Metro Rail system, operated by the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro). The E Line runs east-west and serves 29 stations between East Los Angeles and Santa Monica, interlining and sharing five stations with the A Line in Downtown Los Angeles. The line operates for 19 hours per day with headways of up to 8 minutes during peak hours. It is the second-busiest light rail line in the system, carrying more than 12 million total passengers in 2023. The majority of the E Line’s western section from Downtown Los Angeles to Santa Monica follows the original right of way of the Los Angeles and Independence Railroad steam railroad, built in 1875. E (Los Angeles Railway)
E refers to two streetcar routes in Los Angeles, California which were operated by the Los Angeles Railway. The first incarnation was in service from 1920 to 1932 when it was redesignated as route 5. The second existed between 1920 and 1946, though it was initially assigned the route number 33. This article mostly deals with the latter. This service was re-designated as route 5 after 1932, and is further discussed in greater detail in its own article. It is one of the operator's many transbay routes, which are intended to provide riders a long-distance service across the San Francisco Bay between the East Bay and San Francisco.
