Dana Brown (filmmaker)
Dana Brown (born December 11, 1959, in Dana Point, California) is an American surfer and filmmaker, and is the oldest son of filmmaker Bruce Brown. His films include ''The Endless Summer Revisited'' (2000) which is made up of unused footage from ''The Endless Summer'' (1964) and '' The Endless Summer II'' (1994), as well as some original interviews with the stars of those films. His first all-original film was '' Step Into Liquid'' (2003) followed by a documentary on the Baja 1000 titled ''Dust to Glory'' (2005). In 2009, he debuted a new film called '' Highwater'' during the 100th anniversary of the Santa Monica Pier; the film follows life on the North Shore and the surfers who compete in the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing. Corky McMillin
Macey L. "Corky" McMillin Jr. (January 14, 1929 – September 22, 2005) was an American off-road desert racer, philanthropist and land developer. Biography When he was 14, McMillin and his family moved from a small Missouri town to Chula Vista, California. He started a small construction company in Bonita, California in 1960, with his wife, Vonnie, who handled accounting duties. While McMillin was busy building houses, his passion was taking his family to the Imperial Sand Dunes on the weekends. As sons Mark and Scott got older, McMillin decided to try his hand at off-road racing. McMillin's first venture into a competitive event came at the 1976 Baja 1000 with his son, Mark. SCORE International (Southern California Off Road Enthusiasts) is an off-road racing sanctioning body in the sport of desert racing. Founded by Mickey Thompson in 1973, SCORE International was purchased from Sal Fish in late 2012. and is run by its current president and race director Jose A. Grijalva and General Manager Juan Tintos. The sanctioning body's premier series is the SCORE World Desert Championship, which consists of four races in Baja California peninsula: the San Felipe 250, Baja 500, Baja 400, and Baja 1000. Larry Roeseler
Larry Roeseler is an American professional off-road racer. He is notable for having won the prestigious Baja 1000 desert race a record 13 times, the most of any competitor since the race's inception in 1967. His victories made him one of the most accomplished multi-discipline desert racers in off-road racing history. Roeseler began his racing career on two wheels, racing off-road motorcycles to numerous victories before switching to four wheels. He won the Baja 1000 race ten times on motorcycles then, won the event three more times driving in the open-wheel and trophy truck classes for a record 13 Overall Baja 1000 Wins. Mike McCoy (filmmaker)
Mike "Mouse" McCoy (born August 7, 1969) is an American film director, producer, and chief executive officer of the multimedia studio Bandito Brothers. Before entering the entertainment industry, McCoy worked as a professional motorcycle racer and stunt man. He starred in ''Dust to Glory'' (2004), about a motorcycle race called the Baja 1000, and was co-director and producer of the military action film ''Act of Valor'' (2012).
