''Duets'' is a compilation album by Kenny Rogers released in 1984 by Liberty Records, issued after Rogers left the label and signed to RCA Records. The song " Together Again", a duet with Dottie West was released as a single from this album and reached No. 19 on the US country chart and No. 29 in Canada. It first appeared on their 1979 collaborative album ''Classics''. The album was eventually certified platinum and gold in the US and Canada, respectively. Jimmy Holiday (July 24, 1934 – February 15, 1987) was an American R&B singer and songwriter. Holiday was born in Sallis, Mississippi, United States. He recorded for Everest Records in the 1960s and later moved to the New Orleans label Minit Records. His first recording "How Can I Forget" reached the top ten on the US ''Billboard'' R&B chart in 1963. His debut album ''Turning Point'' peaked at No. 25 on the ''Billboard'' R&B albums chart in 1966. Holiday's best-known composition is "Put a Little Love in Your Heart," co-written with Jackie DeShannon and Randy Myers. In the United States, it was DeShannon's highest-charting hit, reaching No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in August 1969 and No. 2 on the Adult Contemporary chart. Billy Norris Sherrill (November 5, 1936 – August 4, 2015) was an American record producer, songwriter, and arranger associated with country artists, notably Tammy Wynette and George Jones. Sherrill and business partner Glenn Sutton are regarded as the defining influences of the countrypolitan sound, a smooth amalgamation of pop and country music that was popular during the late 1960s and throughout the 1970s. George Richey
George Richey (born George Baker Richardson; November 30, 1935 – July 31, 2010) was an American songwriter and record producer. He was born in Arkansas, but raised in Malden, Missouri. Career Richey was a mainstay of the Nashville country music community since the 1960s through his songwriting and record production. In the 1970s, he co-wrote " Keep Me in Mind," a No. 1 country hit for Lynn Anderson in 1973. "Til I Can Make It on My Own" is a song co-written and first recorded by American country music artist Tammy Wynette. Robert Clark Seger ( ; born May 6, 1945) is a retired American singer, songwriter, and musician. As a locally successful Detroit-area artist, he performed and recorded with the groups Bob Seger and the Last Heard and the Bob Seger System throughout the 1960s, breaking through with his first album, '' Ramblin' Gamblin' Man'' (which contained his first national hit of the same name) in 1969.
