''Duel in the Mountains'' (Spanish: ''Duelo en las montañas'') is a 1950 Mexican war drama film directed by Emilio Fernández and starring Rita Macedo, Fernando Fernández and Eduardo Arozamena. It is inspired by the novel '' A Nest of the Gentry'' by Ivan Turgenev. It was shot at the Clasa Studios in Mexico City. Emilio Fernández
Emilio "El Indio" Fernández Romo (; 26 March 1904 – 6 August 1986) was a Mexican film director, actor and screenwriter. He was one of the most prolific film directors of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema in the 1940s and 1950s. He is best known for his work as director of the film ''María Candelaria'' (1944), which won the Palme d'Or award at the 1946 Cannes Film Festival. Fanny Schiller
Fanny Schiller Hernández (3 August 1901 – 26 September 1971) was a Mexican award-winning character actress and television star, who also acted in operettas and musicals, during the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. She won two Ariel Awards for best supporting actress, and was nominated for two additional films. She was a social activist, creating the Actor's Union and inspiring the creation of “Rosa Mexicano”. She was accomplished at dubbing and was the voice of many animated characters as well as the official voice of several other notable Mexican actresses. Ángel Infante Cruz (Acaponeta, Nayarit, México; 1 October 1914 – Ciudad de México 15 December 1987) was a popular Mexican actor and singer of the Golden Age of Mexican cinema.
