Duchy Of Krumlov
The Duchy of Krumlov (''Krumau'' in German) was a titular duchy in the southern part of the Kingdom of Bohemia, comprising the town of Český Krumlov and its surrounding territories, now in the Czech Republic. In 1628, it was given to Hans Ulrich von Eggenberg by King Ferdinand II when he bestowed upon Hans Ulrich the title of Duke of Krumlov. The Bohemian possessions of the Eggenbergs later went to Hans Ulrich's son, Johann Anton von Eggenberg (1610–1649). In 1649, the title passed to Johann Anton's son, Johann Christian von Eggenberg. He married Marie Ernestine of Schwarzenberg, who was a member of the noble House of Schwarzenberg. Upon the death of Johann Christian, the male line of the House of Eggenberg came to an end. The death of Marie Ernestine in 1719 caused the Bohemian possessions of the Eggenbergs to pass to her closest relatives in the Schwarzenberg family. Adam Franz (Schwarzenberg)
Adam Franz Prince of Schwarzenberg (25 September 1680, Linz – 11 June 1732, near Brandeis on the Elbe), 3rd Prince of Schwarzenberg, was a Bohemian nobleman from the Schwarzenberg family and Austrian Obersthofmarschall. Biography His parents were Ferdinand, 2nd Prince of Schwarzenberg (1652–1703) and Countess Maria Anna von Sulz (1653–1698). He became the 3rd Prince of Schwarzenberg in 1703. He had the rooms of Tiengen Castle redecorated and also the Protivín castle converted into a baroque building. He acquired the Palais Schwarzenberg in Vienna in 1716. He became K.K. Chamberlain and Geheimrat, and from 1711 to 1722 he held the office of Obersthofmarschall. From 1722 until his death in 1732 he was Oberststallmeister. The House of Schwarzenberg is a German ( Franconian) and Czech (Bohemian) aristocratic family, and it was one of the most prominent European noble houses. Prince Karel of Schwarzenberg (, born 10 December 1937) is a Czech politician, former leader of the TOP 09 party and was its candidate for president of the Czech Republic in the 2013 election. Adolph Schwarzenberg (18 August 1890 – 27 February 1950) was a notable landowner, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He was the eldest son of Johann (Czech: Jan) and Therese Schwarzenberg, née Trauttmansdorff-Weinsberg. An outspoken opponent of the Nazi regime, his properties were seized by the German Reich and by Third Czechoslovak Republic shortly before the Communist coup of 1948. Joseph I Adam Prince of Schwarzenberg (15 December 1722, Vienna – 17 February 1782, Vienna), 4th Prince of Schwarzenberg, was a German-Bohemian nobleman. Biography Joseph I was born as the son of Adam Franz Karl, 3rd Prince of Schwarzenberg and Eleonore von Schwarzenberg (1682–1741). When he was 10, his father was killed in a hunting accident and he nominally succeeded his father and became the 4th Prince of Schwarzenberg and a Knight in the Order of the Golden Fleece. He was K.u.K. Chamberlain, Geheimrat, Obersthofmeister of Empress Maria Theresa and, finally, Staats- und Konferenzminister.
