Dublin AFL Divisions 3 – 12B
The Dublin adult football league is divided up into a tier system of 13 teams. These teams range from the top two Divisions one and two and eleven other divisions, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 North and South. The winner of each league title goes on to qualify for the next highest ranking division. AFL Division 3 The 2024 Division 3 League, was won by Naomh Fionnbarra who alongside runners up Templeogue Synge Street will qualify for the Division 2 of the Dublin Adult Football League. St Mary's GAA (Dublin)
St Mary's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Saggart, County Dublin, Ireland. Mary's have won the Dublin Senior Football Championship on one occasion in 1921. Since then they had been relegated to the Dublin Intermediate Football Championship and regained their senior status in 1976 and have remained a Senior club ever since. St Mary's currently play in the Dublin AFL Division 1. Five St Mary's players were on the Dublin team which won the 1942 All Ireland Final against Galway. The five players were Paddy Bermingham, Gerry Fitzgerald, Peter O'Reilly, Caleb Crone and Paddy O'Connor. Caleb Crone also won an All-Ireland medal with Cork in 1945. Kilmacud Crokes GAA
Kilmacud Crokes () is a large Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Stillorgan, Dublin, Ireland. Background Kilmacud GAA club was formed in 1959 following a public meeting in Saint Laurence's Hall, where Stillorgan shopping centre now stands. The first meeting of the club took place on 12 March 1959. Sixty people attended the meeting and donated a shilling each, meaning the club made Irish pound, IR£3.30 on the night. The club decided to use green-and-white jerseys, but they later decided to use the gold-and-purple colours, some say because of the local school Scoil Lorcain Naofa who also use gold and purple, others say it was because blue are the colours of the crocus. In 1963 the club purchased a -acre site behind the Ormonde Cinema as a permanent home pitch for themselves, Páirc de Burca, and in 1965 the adjoining Glenalbyn House was bought. St Margaret's GAA
St Margaret's GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the St. Margaret's area of north County Dublin, near Dublin Airport. The club, which was founded in 1908, has its grounds at Kilreesk. The club has 3 adult teams, a minor boys team, 4 ladies teams and 5 juvenile teams. The club won the first of many Fingal Championships in 1928 and further victories followed in 1957, 1958, 1963, 1965, 1979, 1981, 1987, 1988 and 1994. During the late 1930s and early 1940s, St Margaret's had a three-in-a-row win in the Loving Cup from 1937 to 1939, and success in the Dublin Junior Football Championship in 1940. The latter brought St. Margaret's to Senior football, a grade in which they remained until 2003. Further success was achieved when the St. Vincent de Paul was secured in 1962 and the Senior League Division 3 was won in 1985. Several St. Margaret's players have represented Dublin over the years. Clanna Gael Fontenoy is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based at Ringsend, Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Ireland, serving Sandymount, Irishtown, Dublin, Irishtown, Ringsend and its surrounding areas. St Jude's ( Irish: ''Naomh Jude'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Templeogue on the southside of Dublin. The club fields teams in Gaelic football, hurling, camogie and Ladies football. Teams are fielded from Senior Grade down to under eight level. The club also runs an academy which caters for children from four years of age to seven years of age. History Bishop Galvin National School was formed in 1975. Internal leagues were introduced in the school and, by 1977, football was introduced into the Summer Project. It was in this period that St Judes G.A.A. Club was formed. The formation took place at a meeting held in the school on 18 July 1978, when a committee was appointed to look after the affairs of the new Cumann Peil Naomh Jude. St Patrick's are a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Chapelizod and Palmerstown, South Dublin. History The club was founded in 1961 and took its name because that was the Patrician year. The club colours came about as one of the founders, Peter Kavanagh, had two sets of jerseys, one green and the other red. Originally the main colours were to be green and white (the colours of Saint Patrick and the shamrock) but because neighbouring clubs Round Towers and Lucan Sarsfields used green and white, it was decided to use red and white and keep the green as second colours. The first match to ever take place was the U13’s against Round Towers of Clondalkin which John Daly (founder and current club President) refereed. Clann Mhuire is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based at Naul, County Dublin, Ireland, serving Naul and its surrounding areas. The club was founded in 1957, and originally based in Reynoldstown before later moving to just outside Naul village. Cuala GAA club (or ''Cuala GAC'', ) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Dalkey in the south of County Dublin, Ireland. It fields teams in Dublin GAA competitions. Cuala is primarily based in a sports and social centre in Dalkey, and also has playing facilities in Glenageary, Meadow Vale/Clonkeen Park, Shankill, Dublin, Shankill and Sallynoggin. St Finian's GAA, Camogie and LGFA () is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the River Valley, Ridgewood, Boroimhe and Forest Road area of Swords in the north of County Dublin. The club was founded in 1983. The club fields teams at adult and juvenile level in Camogie, Hurling, and Ladies' and Men's Gaelic football. Two adult Rounders teams were founded in September 2020.
