Dropkick Murphys
Dropkick Murphys are an American Celtic punk band formed in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1996. The current lineup consists of co-lead vocalist and bassist Ken Casey, drummer Matt Kelly, co-lead vocalist Al Barr (on hiatus from the band since 2022), rhythm and lead guitarist James Lynch, lead guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Tim Brennan, multi-instrumentalist and rhythm guitarist Jeff DaRosa and bassist Kevin Rheault. Casey has been the band's only constant member since the band formed. The band was initially signed to independent punk record label Hellcat Records; they released five albums for the label and built a reputation around New England and the East coast through persistent touring. They expanded their schedule to include national and international tour dates, and began a tradition of yearly St. Patrick's Day week shows, held in and around Boston. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created in 1995 on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Two parallel sets of charts are concurrently produced and published; one is on behalf of Belgium's mainly Dutch-speaking Flanders region, and the other catering to the nation's mainly French-speaking region of Wallonia. The Gang's All Here (Dropkick Murphys Album)
''The Gang's All Here'' is the second studio album by the American Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys, released on March 16, 1999, through Hellcat Records. It is their first album with Al Barr (ex-vocalist for The Bruisers), who replaced founding singer Mike McColgan in 1998. It would be the last full album to feature guitarist Rick Barton, who left the band in 2000 during the recording of '' Sing Loud, Sing Proud''. "10 Years of Service" was the album's only single; the music video received some minor airplay on MTV's ''120 Minutes'', a first for the band. The album was produced by Rancid's Lars Frederiksen, who had produced their debut album as well. It was the final Dropkick Murphys album to be produced by Frederiksen. The album peaked at No. 184 on the ''Billboard'' 200. Hellcat Records is an independent record label based in Los Angeles, California. The label, an offshoot of Epitaph Records, was started as a partnership between Brett Gurewitz of Bad Religion, the owner of Epitaph, and Tim Armstrong of Rancid, who was generally responsible for signing bands. ''Do or Die'' is the debut studio album by the Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys. It was released in 1998 and was produced by Rancid's Lars Frederiksen and was released through Rancid's Tim Armstrong's label Hellcat. The band were one of the first artists signed to the label in 1997. It is the only album that featured original lead vocalist Mike McColgan, who went on to become a fireman before forming his own band, the Street Dogs and is their first release with drummer Matt Kelly who joined the band in 1997 replacing their founding drummer Jeff Erna. A music video for the single "Barroom Hero" was released. Some of the songs on the album were re-recorded and previously appeared on other releases.
