''Dreams of Endless War'' is the debut album by the Finnish melodic death metal band Norther. It was released on 18 July 2002 by Spinefarm Records. The songs; "Victorious One" and "Endless War" are demo songs from ''Warlord'', while the song "Warlord" from the demo was renamed as "Endless War" and are identical tracks. "Released" was released as a single and made into a music video. Norther (band)
Norther was a Finnish melodic death metal band from Espoo that was formed in 1996 and broke up in 2012. They released six studio albums. History Norther formed under the name Requiem (Lindroos, Korpas, Hallio) in 1996 after various early stage band formations. The band's debut effort was the album ''Dreams of Endless War'', released through Spinefarm Records in 2002. It entered the Finnish charts at number 17. At the time, Norther was playing shows only in and around the Helsinki area. That changed when the album ''Mirror of Madness'' came out in early 2003 (entering the Finnish charts at number 11). The group toured with Dimmu Borgir and Hypocrisy (band), Hypocrisy in late 2003. In early 2004, Norther released its third full-length album, ''Death Unlimited'', which reached 17 on the Finnish charts. Rolf Magnus Joakim Larsson (born 19 August 1963), known professionally as Joey Tempest, is a Swedish musician. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the rock band Europe. He has written most of the band's biggest hit songs, including " The Final Countdown", " Rock the Night", "Cherokee" and " Carrie". Early life Rolf Magnus Joakim Larsson was born in Stockholm, Sweden on 19 August 1963. When he was eight years old, he would sit in front of the television or radio with a tape recorder and try to capture songs from the UK or US that he liked and listen to them over and over again. Finnvox Studios
Finnvox Studios is a recording studio located in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, Finland. It was founded by Erkki Ertesuo, Kurt Juuranto and Lejos Inc. in 1965 and is the longest running studio recording facility in Finland. The original multi-track recording equipment and continuous technical updates of the studio machines and acoustics soon made Finnvox the most sought after studio in the country. Finnish artists that recorded at Finnvox in the 1970s include Rauli Somerjoki, M. A. Numminen and their bands, Wigwam, Agit-prop and many others. Up until the 1990s, Finnvox also operated a vinyl record mastering and pressing facility, which was later converted to new studio rooms and a mixing and recording room for film and TV productions. Toni Hallio
Toni Hallio is the former drummer for and one of the founding members of melodic death metal band Norther. He left the band in October 2005 to pursue other interests. However, he still recorded the drums for Norther's ''Till Death Unites Us'' instead of the band's current drummer Heikki Saari. Jukka Koskinen
Jukka Koskinen is a Finnish musician who is the bassist for the metal bands Wintersun, Nightwish and Crownshift. He was also the bassist for Norther from 2000 until their disbandment in 2012, for Amberian Dawn from 2010 until 2013, for Cain's Offering from 2009 until 2014 and for Dark Sarah in 2014. In May 2021, he was revealed as Nightwish Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Kitee. David Michael Sabo (born September 16, 1964), nicknamed The Snake, is an American musician best known as one of the guitarists of heavy metal band Skid Row. Biography Pre-Skid Row Sabo was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and grew up in nearby Sayreville, in the same neighborhood as childhood friend Jon Bon Jovi. His mother, Dorothy, raised him and his brothers as a single mother. Rachel Bolan (born James Richard Southworth, February 9, 1964) is an American musician, best known as the bassist and main songwriter of the metal band Skid Row. Career Bolan was born in 1964 to Aida and Hubert Southworth. He grew up in Toms River, New Jersey. The youngest of four children, Bolan is half Portuguese. When he was in junior high school he began considering a career in music after drummer Damian Cordisco asked him to play bass in his band. Bolan's first gig was in 1978 at Manasquan High School. "The Final Countdown" is a song by the Swedish rock band Europe, released in 1986. Written by their lead singer Joey Tempest, it was based on a keyboard riff he made in the early 1980s, with lyrics inspired by David Bowie's " Space Oddity".
