Dragons Of A Fallen Sun
''Dragons of a Fallen Sun'' is a fantasy novel by American writers Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. It is the first novel published in The War of Souls trilogy and part of the large Dragonlance series. Summary The Gods have abandoned Krynn, and dragons rule the continent, where nations are divided among them. The dragons resist war only on a weak treaty that states that the little magic in Krynn is divided equally among them. Caramon Majere is on his deathbed, and sends a Solamnic Knight, Gerard on a quest with the kender Tasslehoff Burrfoot, who has come back by means of the Device of Time Traveling, to find Dalamar. They set out on their dangerous quest by going to Qualinesti, where they can find Palin Majere, who could possibly know where Dalamar could be. Margaret Weis
Margaret Edith Weis (; born March 16, 1948) is an American fantasy and science fiction author, of dozens of novels and short stories. At TSR, Inc., she teamed with Tracy Hickman to create the ''Dragonlance'' role-playing game (RPG) world. She is founding CEO and owner of Sovereign Press, Inc and Margaret Weis Productions, licensing several popular television and movie franchises to make RPG series in addition to their own. In 1999, ''Pyramid (magazine), Pyramid'' magazine named Weis one of ''The Millennium's Most Influential Persons'', saying she and Hickman are "basically responsible for the entire gaming fiction genre". In 2002, she was inducted into the Origins Award, Origins Hall of Fame in part for ''Dragonlance''. ''Realms of Fantasy'' was a professional bimonthly fantasy speculative fiction magazine published by Sovereign Media, then Tir Na Nog Press, and Damnation Books, which specialized in fantasy fiction (including some horror), related nonfiction (with particular interest in folklore) and art. The magazine published short stories by some of the genre's most popular and most prominent authors. Its original publisher was Sovereign Media, and it first launched with the October 1994 issue. It was headquartered in Herndon, Virginia. On January 27, 2009, the magazine's managing editor under Sovereign Media announced that ''Realms of Fantasy'' would cease publication after the April 2009 issue. The Origins Awards are American awards for outstanding work in the game industry. They are presented by the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design at the Origins Game Fair on an annual basis for the previous year, so (for example) the 1979 awards were given at the 1980 Origins. The Origins Award is commonly referred to as a Calliope, as the statuette is in the likeness of the muse of the same name. Academy members frequently shorten this name to "Callie".
