Douglas Pereira dos Santos (born 6 August 1990), simply known as Douglas (), is a Brazilian former professional Association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football)#Full-back, right-back. Club career Goiás Born in Monte Alegre de Goiás, Douglas joined Goiás Esporte Clube, Goiás' youth setup in 2002, aged 12, and was promoted to the first-team in 2009, mainly as a backup to Cícero Vítor dos Santos Júnior, Vítor. Douglas dos Santos Justino de Melo (; born 22 March 1994), known as Douglas Santos or simply Douglas, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Russian Premier League club Zenit Saint Petersburg. Club career Náutico In 2011, after an unsuccessful trial at Corinthians, Douglas was signed by Náutico. A year later, he was called up to first team. Douglas dos Santos (born 18 February 1982), simply known as Douglas, is a retired Brazilian professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Career Prior to being signed for Al Wasl for R$11m, Douglas was owned by two clubs; each owning 50% of his player card, the first club was Corinthians where he used to play before moving to Al Wasl, and the second was São Caetano. He played only half a season with Al Wasl in the 2009–10 season before moving back to Brazil to play for Grêmio. Douglas was first picked for the Brazil national team on 29 October 2010 to play a friendly match against Argentina. On 27 October 2020, 38-year old Douglas announced his retirement from football.
