Dornakal Assembly constituency is a ST reserved constituency of Telangana Legislative Assembly, India. This region is occupied by more scheduled tribes in highest number. It is one of 12 constituencies in combined Warangal district, and one of the constituencies of Mahabubabad district. It is part of Mahabubabad Lok Sabha constituency. Redya Naik is the current MLA of the constituency. Telangana Legislative Assembly
The Telangana Legislative Assembly or Telangana Śāsana Sabha is the lower house of the Telangana Legislature. The Legislative Assembly of Telangana currently consists of 119 elected members and 1 nominated member from the Anglo-Indian community. Its chief engineer was Nawab Sarwar Jung. The members of the ''Vidhana Sabha'' are directly elected by people through adult franchise. Each constituency elects one member of the assembly. Members are popularly known as M.L.A's. The assembly is elected using the simple plurality or "first past the post" electoral system. The elections are conducted by the Election Commission of India. Surendra Reddy (born 10 October 1931) was member of 3rd Lok Sabha from Mahabubabad in Andhra Pradesh State, India. He was elected to 4th, 9th and 10th Lok Sabha from Warangal. Satyavathi Rathod (born 31 October 1969) is an Indian politician serving as the Minister for Tribal Welfare, Women and Child Welfare of Telangana since 2019. She is the first tribal woman to serve as a Minister in Telangana. She is a member of the Telangana Legislative Council from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. Rathod previously represented the Dornakal constituency in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 2009 from the Telugu Desam Party. The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, 2014 took place on 30 April and 7 May 2014 to elect members to the legislatures of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Telangana Legislative Assembly election was held in Telangana on 7 December 2018 to constitute the second Legislative Assembly since the formation of the state in 2014.
