Dong'a
Dong'e County () falls under the jurisdiction of Liaocheng Prefecture-level city, in the Shandong Province of China. It is located on the left (northern) bank of the Yellow River, some upstream from the provincial capital Jinan. The county is regionally and nationally renowned for the production of Ejiao, a donkey-hide gelatine used in traditional Chinese medicine. According to a ca. 1723 account by the French Jesuits Dominique Parrenin, there was a well in this county which was normally kept closed and sealed, and which was only opened when water was taken to be used in preparation of ''Ejiao'' for the emperor's court. Su Shulin
Su Shulin ( zh, c=苏树林, p=Sū Shùlín; born 14 March 1962) is a Chinese oil and gas executive and former politician. Between 2011 and 2015, he served as Governor of Fujian, on China's eastern coast. Before beginning his political career, Su served as the vice-president in the state-owned PetroChina Company Limited. He later became chief executive of Sinopec Group. In 2011, Su was named Governor of Fujian. He was investigated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection in 2015 and subsequently expelled from the Chinese Communist Party for violating organizational discipline. Cheng Yu
Cheng Yu (141 – December 220), originally named Cheng Li, courtesy name Zhongde, was a Chinese politician who lived during the late Eastern Han dynasty of China. He was an adviser to Cao Cao, the warlord who became the ''de facto'' head of the Han central government during that period. He died in December 220 – soon after Cao Cao's son, Cao Pi, usurped the throne from Emperor Xian (the last Han emperor) and established the state of Cao Wei, an event marking the start of the Three Kingdoms period in China. Cheng Yu was described as a tall man (approximately 1.91 metres) with a beautiful long beard. He was from Dong'e County in present-day Shandong. He was also noted for his expertise in military tactics, which helped Cao Cao defeat Yuan Shao at the Battle of Guandu in 200 and consolidate control over northern China.
