Donetsk-1 Company (Ukraine)
The Donetsk Company is the 5th company of the Dnipro-1 Regiment of the Liut Brigade of the Special Tasks Patrol Police subordinated to Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. The regiment is currently based in Dnipropetrovsk although its official garrison is Donetsk. It was established in 2014 and has, since then seen regular combat on the frontlines. 39th Motorized Infantry Battalion (Ukraine)
The 39th Motorized Infantry Battalion "Dnipro-2" was a military formation of the Ukrainian Ground Forces in 2014–2016. The battalion was created in May 2014 in response to the Russian annexation of Crimea as the 39th volunteer territorial defense battalion "Dnipro-2" from the residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region. Fighters of the battalion took part in fierce battles for Ilovaisk in August 2014. It was disbanded in 2016 and transformed into 55th Artillery Brigade (Ukraine). Berkut (special Police Force)
The Berkut (; "golden eagle") was the Ukrainian system of special police (riot police) of the Ukrainian ''Militsiya'' within the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The agency was formed in 1992, shortly after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, as the successor to the Ukrainian SSR's OMON. The battle of Pisky was a series of military engagements for control of the ghost town of Pisky, located just outside of the city of Donetsk, between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the allied separatist Donetsk People's Republic during the battle for Donbas of the eastern Ukraine campaign.
