Donal O'Shea (hurler)
Donal O'Shea (born 2001) is an Irish hurler. At club level, he plays with Salthill-Knocknacarra, while he is also a member of the Galway senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a forward. Career O'Shea first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Salthill-Knocknacarra club, before eventually progressing to the adult level. He enjoyed his first success in 2021 when Salthill claimed the Galway JHC title. O'Shea later claimed a Conancht JCHC title after a defeat of Easkey in the final. He has also lined out with University College Dublin in the Fitzgibbon Cup. O'Shea first appeared at inter-county level with Galway as full-forward on the minor team that won the All-Ireland MHC title in 2018. As well as being Galway's top scorer, he was also named GAA Minor Star Hurler of the Year. UCD GAA or University College Dublin Gaelic Athletic Association club is a Dublin based Gaelic games club in University College Dublin. The UCD hurling club was founded in 1900 and boasted the mottos "Ad Astra" and "Cothrom Féinne". The first team was an amalgamation of students from UCD and Cecilia St. Although UCD had been playing Gaelic football unofficially since 1900, the official club history began in the season of 1911/1912. Brian Turnbull (born 1999) is an Irish hurler who plays for Cork Senior Championship club Douglas and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a left corner-forward. Playing career St. Francis College Turnbull first came to prominence as a hurler with St. Francis College in Rochestown. He played in every grade of hurling before eventually joining the college's senior hurling team. On 21 December 2015, Turnbull scored 3-04 for St. Francis College when they defeated Scoil Mhuire gan Smál from Blarney to win the Dr. O'Callaghan Cup. The 2019 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship was the 89th staging of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1928. The championship began on 27 April 2019 and ended on 18 August 2019. Galway were the defending champions. The 2021–22 All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship was the 18th staging of the All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's junior inter county, inter-county club hurling tournament. It will be the first club championship to be completed in two years as the 2020-21 series was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The championship began on 14 November 2021 and ended on 5 February 2022. The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system.
