Don Bennett
Air Vice Marshal Donald Clifford Tyndall Bennett, (14 September 1910 – 15 September 1986) was an Australian aviation pioneer and bomber pilot who rose to be the youngest air vice marshal in the Royal Air Force. He led the "Pathfinder Force" ( No. 8 Group RAF) from 1942 to the end of the Second World War in 1945. He has been described as "one of the most brilliant technical airmen of his generation: an outstanding pilot, a superb navigator who was also capable of stripping a wireless set or overhauling an engine". Early flights Donald Bennett was born the youngest son of a grazier and business agent in Toowoomba, Queensland. He attended Brisbane Grammar School. After some time working in his father's business, he joined the Royal Australian Air Force in 1930, qualifying at RAAF Point Cook as a pilot on the DH Moth and Westland Wapiti. Don Bennett (cricketer)
Donald Bennett (18 December 1933 – 12 June 2014) was an English first-class cricketer and footballer. Background Don Bennett was born in Wakefield, Yorkshire. As a right-arm fast-medium bowler and right-handed batsman, Bennett played for Middlesex County Cricket Club between 1950 and 1968, appearing in over four-hundred matches. He scored 10,656 runs and took 784 wickets in first-class cricket. He went on to become a long-serving coach (1969-1997) before he retired after forty-seven years of service to the club. In retirement, he was elected to the General Committee and also served a term as President. In football, he joined Arsenal in 1950 as an amateur, and then as a professional a year later. He played as a winger and then fullback for nine years in the second XI. In 1959 he moved to Coventry City where he made 73 appearances before retiring in 1962. Donald J. Bennett (May 6, 1931 – August 30, 1987) was a United States military officer, politician, and a businessman. Born in Fresno, California, Bennett attended San Jose State University and the University of Maryland. He served in the United States Army and retired as a lieutenant colonel. Bennett lived in Fairbanks, Alaska and was a businessman. He served in the Alaska House of Representatives from 1977 to 1979 and was a Republican.
