''Amnesiac'' is the fifth studio album by the English rock band Radiohead, released on 30 May 2001 by EMI. It was recorded with the producer Nigel Godrich in the same sessions as Radiohead's previous album ''Kid A'' (2000). Radiohead split the work in two as they felt it was too dense for a double album. As with ''Kid A, Amnesiac'' incorporates influences from electronic music, 20th-century classical music, jazz and krautrock. The final track, "Life in a Glasshouse", is a collaboration with the jazz trumpeter Humphrey Lyttelton and his band. After having released no singles for ''Kid A'', Radiohead promoted ''Amnesiac'' with the singles "Pyramid Song" and "Knives Out", accompanied by music videos. Videos were also made for "Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors" and "Like Spinning Plates", as well as "I Might Be Wrong", which was released as a promotional single. Humphrey Lyttelton
Humphrey Richard Adeane Lyttelton (23 May 1921 – 25 April 2008), also known as Humph, was an English jazz musician and broadcaster from the Lyttelton family. Having taught himself the trumpet at school, Lyttelton became a professional musician, leading his own eight-piece band, which recorded a hit single, " Bad Penny Blues", in 1956. As a broadcaster, he presented BBC Radio 2's ''The Best of Jazz'' for forty years, and hosted the comedy panel game '' I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue'' on BBC Radio 4, becoming the UK's oldest panel game host. Philip Selway
Philip James Selway (born 23 May 1967) is an English musician and the drummer of the rock band Radiohead. He combines rock drumming with electronic percussion. Selway was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Radiohead in 2019. In the 2000s, with musicians including the Radiohead guitarist Ed O'Brien, Selway toured and recorded with the 7 Worlds Collide project. In 2010, he released his debut solo album, '' Familial'', comprising folk music. It was followed by '' Weatherhouse'' in 2014 and '' Strange Dance'' in 2023.
