Doc (1975 TV Series)
''Doc'' is an American sitcom produced by MTM Enterprises which aired on CBS from August 16, 1975, to October 30, 1976. Synopsis ''Doc'' starred Barnard Hughes as Dr. Joe Bogert, an elderly, kindhearted general practitioner who divided his time between dealing with his dysfunctional patients and his even more dysfunctional family. Hughes had been seen occasionally on the CBS-TV sitcoms ''All in the Family'' as Father John Majeski and on ''The Bob Newhart Show'' as Bob's father Herb Hartley. On ''Doc'', actress Elizabeth Wilson costarred with Hughes as Joe's wife Annie, Judith Kahan as his daughter Laurie, John Harkins as Laurie's husband, and Mary Wickes as Joe's nurse, Tully. Irwin Corey
Irwin Corey (July 29, 1914 – February 6, 2017) was an American stand-up comic, film actor and activist, often billed as "The World's Foremost Authority". He introduced his unscripted, improvisational style of stand-up comedy at the San Francisco club the hungry i. Lenny Bruce described Corey as "one of the most brilliant comedians of all time." Biography Corey was born Irwin Eli Cohen to a Jewish family on , in Brooklyn, New York. Poverty-stricken after his father deserted the family, his mother was forced to place him and his five siblings in the Hebrew Orphan Asylum of New York, where Corey remained until his early teens. Dysfunctional Family
In psychology, abnormality (also dysfunctional behavior, maladaptive behavior, or deviant behavior) is a behavioral characteristic assigned to those with conditions that are regarded as dysfunctional. Earl Pomerantz (February 4, 1945 – March 7, 2020) was a Canadian-born screenwriter, who spent almost the entirety of his career working in U.S. television comedy. Career Pomerantz wrote a weekly column for the '' Toronto Telegram'' in the late 1960s. He broke into writing TV comedy while living in Toronto, getting a position as a writer on 1970's '' The Hart & Lorne Terrific Hour'', which starred his brother Hart Pomerantz and Lorne Michaels. Burton Field Brinckerhoff (born October 25, 1936) is an American actor, director, and producer. David Lloyd (writer)
David Gibbs Lloyd (July 7, 1934 – November 10, 2009) was an American screenwriter and producer for television. He wrote for many sitcoms, such as ''The Mary Tyler Moore Show'', ''The Bob Newhart Show'', ''Taxi'', ''Cheers'', ''Frasier'' and '' Wings''. Lloyd wrote " Chuckles Bites the Dust", an October 1975 episode of the ''Mary Tyler Moore Show'', for which he won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series.
