Dnipro Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre () is an opera house in Dnipro. History The first opera house in Dnipropetrovsk was opened in 1931 as the Dnipropetrovsk Workers' Opera House. In 19341937, Arsenko Arsen Dionysovych performed there. With the beginning of the Second World War, the company was evacuated to Krasnoyarsk, where the Dnieper Opera was merged with the Odesa troupe. Dnipro
Dnipro, previously called Dnipropetrovsk from 1926 until May 2016, is Ukraine's fourth-largest city, with about one million inhabitants.
