Djamaa El Sefri
Djamaa () (also written Jama'a) is a town and commune in El M'Ghair Province, Algeria. According to the 2008 census it has a population of 50,916, up from 37,438 in 1998, with an annual growth rate of 3.1%. Geography To the east of Djamaa is a large area of palm plantations. The locality of Tigdidine lies amongst the palm trees. To the west the landscape is mostly arid and sandy, although there is another smaller palm plantation about west of the town. Climate Djamaa has a hot desert climate (Köppen climate classification ''BWh''), with very hot summers and mild winters, and very little precipitation throughout the year. Transportation Djamaa has a station on the Biskra-Touggourt railway line. The N3 highway passes through the town, also connecting Biskra in the north to Touggourt in the south. Djema'a
The term Djema'a (or Djemaa, meaning "Congregation" or "Gathering" in Arabic) can refer to two things in a Western Sahara context. Djema'a: tribal leadership The Djema'a was the leading body in a Sahrawi tribe, composed of elders and elected leaders. It organized war efforts, raiding parties, lawmaking and diplomacy, among other things, and also settled disputes between members of the tribe. Sometimes, a larger assembly known as the Ait Arbein (Council of Forty) would be gathered, composed of elders from several tribes, to organize the community against foreign invasion or other such supratribal concerns. The exact organization of the Djema'a varied from tribe to tribe, but it generally incorporated both old Berber customs, Arab traditions and based its practices on Islamic law. Ouled Djellal
Ouled Djellal is a town and commune in Ouled Djellal Province, Algeria. Prior to the creation of Ouled Djellal Province in 2019, Ouled Djellal was part of Biskra Province. Ouargla
Ouargla (Berber: Wargrən, ) is the capital city of Ouargla Province in the Sahara Desert in southern Algeria. It has a flourishing petroleum industry and hosts one of Algeria's universities, the University of Ouargla. Ouargla Province
Ouargla or Warqla () is a province (''wilaya'') in eastern Algeria, with a population of 708 463 inhabitants in 2019. Its capital is Ouargla. Other localities include Hassi Ben Abdellah and Hassi Messaoud. El Oued
El Oued (), Souf or Oued Souf is a city, and the capital of El Oued Province, in Algeria. The oasis town is watered by an underground river, hence its name is El Oued which enables date palm cultivation and the rare use (for the desert) of brick construction for housing.
