DJ Mehdi
Mehdi Favéris-Essadi (20 January 1977 – 13 September 2011), better known by his stage name DJ Mehdi, was a French-Tunisian hip hop and house music producer and DJ. He was signed to the label Ed Banger Records, founded by his friend Pedro Winter, in which he released in 2006 his album ''Lucky Boy'', also the label's debut album. Biography Mehdi was born of French and Tunisian background in Hauts-de-Seine, the northwestern suburbs of Paris. Asnières-sur-Seine () is a Communes of France, commune in the Hauts-de-Seine Departments of France, department and Île-de-France Regions of France, region of north-central France. Donuts (album)
''Donuts'' is the second studio album by American hip hop producer J Dilla and the final album to be released in his lifetime. It was released on February 7, 2006, by Stones Throw Records, on his 32nd birthday, just three days before his death. Dilla's health began to decline following a tour in early 2002. He was diagnosed with thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP); he spent the following years in and out of hospitals, including a stay at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in 2005 following a further diagnosis with lupus. He would continue to produce music in his free time. James Dewitt Yancey (February 7, 1974 – February 10, 2006), better known by the stage names J Dilla and Jay Dee, was an American record producer, composer and rapper. He emerged from the mid-1990s underground hip hop scene in Detroit, Michigan, as a member of the group Slum Village. He was also a member of the Soulquarians, a musical collective active during the late 1990s and early 2000s. He additionally collaborated with Madlib as Jaylib, releasing the album ''Champion Sound''. Yancey's final album was ''Donuts (album), Donuts'', which was released three days before his death. Henry Smithson (born 13 September 1978), best known by his stage name Riton ( ), is an English electronic music DJ and producer from Newcastle upon Tyne. Biography Smithson was born in Newcastle upon Tyne. The name ''Riton'' is French slang for "Henry". He graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. After finishing university, Smithson started the Switch Recordings label, upon which he released his first two 12" singles. He began DJing at Newcastle's "Shindig" nightclub. Xavier Dulong de Rosnay (; born 1982) is a French Electronic music, electronic musician and one half of the duo Justice (band), Justice with Gaspard Augé. Biography Xavier Dulong de Rosnay was born in 1982, hailing from Seine-et-Marne, although he grew up in Paris "on a diet of 1970s Progressive rock, prog-rock and 1980s funk". The son of a Vietnamese-born dentist and a human resources director of a Parisian hospital, he studied graphic design at the École Estienne in Paris, where he also met Thibaut Berland (later known as Breakbot).
