Sir Kenneth Douglas McCallum (born 1974) is a British intelligence officer who has been serving as the Director General of MI5 since 2020. Early life and education McCallum was born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1974. Sir Edward Martin Furnival Jones CBE (7 May 1912 – 1 March 1997) was Director General of MI5, the United Kingdom's internal security service, from 1965 until 1972. Andrew David Parker, Baron Parker of Minsmere, (born 8 May 1962), is a British life peer and former intelligence officer who served as Director General of MI5 from 2013 to 2020. Dame Stella Rimington (born 13 May 1935) is a British author and former Director General of MI5, a position she held from 1992 to 1996. She was the first female DG of MI5, and the first DG whose name was publicised on appointment. Sir John Lewis Jones, KCB (17 February 1923 – 9 March 1998) was Director General of MI5, the United Kingdom's internal security service, from 1981 until 1985.
