Dimension Zero (Swedish Band)
Dimension Zero is a melodic death metal band based in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was formed in 1995 as a side project by In Flames' former guitarists Jesper Strömblad and Glenn Ljungström. The former Marduk (band), Marduk drummer and vocalist Jocke Gothberg joined later on vocals, as well as Hans Nilsson (musician), Hans Nilsson (ex-Liers in Wait, Diabolique (band), Diabolique, Crystal Age) on drums. The band released ''Penetrations from the Lost World'' in 1997 before splitting up the following year. They reformed in 2000, and later recorded ''Silent Night Fever'' and ''This Is Hell (Dimension Zero album), This Is Hell''. Tours have been rare due to members' other musical commitments. Musically, they have been described as strictly old-school Swedish death metal in the range of At the Gates, Unleashed (band), Unleashed and Defleshed. Defleshed is a Swedish death/thrash metal band. The group was formed by guitarist Lars Löfven, formerly of Convulsion and Inanimate. He was joined by ex-Crematorium bassist Gustaf Jorde shortly after recording a demo. In 1995 drummer Matte Modin joined the band. They have released several albums on high-profile metal labels. In November 2005, it was announced that Defleshed had officially split-up. The band also had a side project named Vargavinter. In January 2021, Defleshed announced they had reformed and they were working on new material. Unleashed is a Swedish death metal band that was formed in 1989 by Johnny Hedlund in Stockholm. Common lyrical themes found in the band's music include Viking culture, recollection of a pre-Christian world, and Norse folklore. A number of their recent songs also contain references to J. R. R.
