Dimasalang Street is a major road between the districts of Sampaloc and Santa Cruz in the Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. Running in the north–south direction, it connects Lacson Avenue and Laon Laan Street in the south to Blumentritt Road, near the city's border with Quezon City, in the north. It also crosses over the Philippine National Railway tracks and below NLEX Connector at Dimasalang Bridge. It is named after ''Dimasalang'', one of the pen names of the Philippine national hero José Rizal. Radial Road 8, more commonly referred to as R-8, is a network of roads and bridges that altogether form the eighth radial road of Manila in the Philippines. It runs north-south through northern Metro Manila linking the City of Manila with Quezon City, Caloocan, and Valenzuela into the northern provinces of Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Pangasinan, and La Union. Blumentritt Road
Blumentritt Road is a major road in Manila, Philippines. It runs through the border of the City of Manila with Quezon City from Rizal Avenue in Santa Cruz district to G. Tuazon Street in Sampaloc district. The road also forms the southern boundary of the Manila North Cemetery. It is named after Bohemian professor and filipinologist, Ferdinand Blumentritt. Lacson Avenue
Lacson Avenue is the principal northwest–southeast artery located in Sampaloc district in northern Manila, Philippines. It is a 6-8 lane median divided avenue that runs approximately from Tayuman Street in Santa Cruz to Nagtahan Interchange. It is a component of Circumferential Road 2 of the Manila arterial road network and N140 of the Philippine highway network. Route description Travelling south, traffic emerges from Yuseco Street at the junction with Oroquieta Street in Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz is a district in the northern part of the City of Manila, Philippines, located on the right bank of the Pasig River near its mouth, bordered by the districts of Tondo, Binondo, Quiapo, and Sampaloc, as well as the areas of Grace Park and Barrio San Jose in Caloocan and the district of La Loma in Quezon City. NLEX Connector
NLEX Connector (North Luzon Expressway Connector), also known as the NLEX–SLEX Connector Road (North Luzon Expressway–South Luzon Expressway Connector), NLEX Connector Road, and NLEX Segment 11 during the planning stages, is a , four-lane elevated expressway in Metro Manila, Philippines. It connects the NLEX Harbor Link to the Metro Manila Skyway, which in turn connect to the North Luzon Expressway, North and South Luzon Expressways, respectively, while traversing parallel to the PNR Metro Commuter Line. José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda (, ; June 19, 1861 – December 30, 1896) was a Filipino nationalist, writer and polymath active at the end of the Spanish colonial period of the Philippines.
