Dick Thompson (racing Driver)
Richard Knight Thompson, Jr. (July 9, 1920 – September 14, 2014) was an American racecar driver. A Washington, D.C. dentist by trade, he is known as "The Flying Dentist". He won numerous Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) championships and was inducted into the Corvette Hall of Fame. Thompson brought credibility to the Corvette as a world-class sports car.Biography

Dick Thompson (athlete)
Dick Thompson (December 1930 – 1993) was a British Paralympic athlete who won six gold medals competing in track and field events. Thompson was most successful at the 1960 Summer Paralympics, winning three golds in the javelin events, a gold in the club throw, a bronze in the shot put, and two medals with the men's wheelchair basketball team. Thompson married fellow Paralympian Diane Gubbin. He died in 1993, aged 62, at St Oswald's Hospice in Newcastle. References

Richard Thompson (animator)
Richard Thompson (26 August 1914 – 12 June 1998) was an American animator who worked at several animated cartoon departments over a career of four decades. Career Thompson's longest association was with Chuck Jones at Warner Bros. Cartoons and MGM Animation/Visual Arts. Notably, he was an animator on Chuck Jones' Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, Road Runner cartoons. He also worked at Hanna-Barbera and DePatie–Freleng Enterprises. He animated for Tom and Jerry cartoons; for one Peanuts animated special, ''He's Your Dog, Charlie Brown''; and for two Babar TV specials by Mendelson-Melendez Productions, ''The Story of Babar, the Little Elephant'' and ''Babar Comes to America''.
