Dharma (1973 Film)
''Dharma'' is a 1973 Bollywood action film directed by Chand. The film stars Pran in the title role. The rest of the cast includes Ajit, Madan Puri, Bindu and the pair Navin Nischol and Rekha. The film became a "Superhit" at the box office. It was remade into the Telugu film ''Na Pere Bhagavan'' (1976). Plot Sevak Singh Dharma is a dreaded dacoit living in isolation with his followers Bhairav Singh (Rajan Haksar), Mangal Singh (Madan Puri) and his wife Parvati (Geeta Siddharth) amongst others. He kills Bhairav for betraying his trust during a police encounter. While escaping in a boat, both his young son, Suraj, and wife are hit by gunfire by inspector Ajit Singh (Ajit) and considered drowned, while he survives and lands up in a city as the feared dacoit, Chandan Singh. Chandan Singh takes revenge on Ajit Singh's family and abducts his wife Asha and daughter Radha (both played by Rekha). Asha gets killed accidentally while Radha is rescued by a prostitute. Pran (actor)
Pran Krishan Sikand (; 12 February 1920 – 12 July 2013), better known mononymously as Pran, was an Indian actor who worked in Hindi cinema. He was one of the most successful and respected actors in the history of Indian cinema; in a career spanning over six decades he was also one of the highest-paid actors of his time. Pran was in/famous for his villain roles, and a highly regarded character actor in Bollywood from the 1940s to the 1990s. He played heroes from 1940 to 1947, negative roles from 1942 to 1991, and supporting and character roles from 1967 to 2007. From the late 1940s through the 70s was the peak of Pran's career as a villain, especially in the 1950s and 60s: his interpretations were the first true personification of "evil" on the Indian screen, and the intensity of his portrayals of negative/villainous characters was such that the given name "Pran" fell into disuse. Faryal (actress)
Faryal (born 3 November 1945). She is an actress and dancer of mixed Indian and Arabic descent working in Hindi films. She was a popular Bollywood cabaret dancer and actress in the 1960s and 1970s. Early life and background Faryal was born in the Damascus area of Syria to an Indian father and a Syrian- Lebanese mother. She completed her education at Loretto Convent, Simla, Cathedral High School and St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. Faryal worked for a while as an air hostess in Air India before joining films. She is a product of the FilmaIaya School of Acting. Career Faryal entered Bollywood in 1965 in the black-and-white film ''Zindagi Aur Maut'', in lead role opposite Pradeep Kumar. This film contained famous song "Dil Laga kar hum ye samjhe" sung solo by Asha Bhosle and Mahendra Kapoor; both these songs are available on YouTube. Mohammed Rafi
Mohammed Rafi (24 December 1924 – 31 July 1980) was an Indian playback singer. He is considered to have been one of the greatest and most influential singers of the Indian subcontinent.
