The Raju are a Telugu caste found mostly in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Etymology and Early references ''Raju'' is a Telugu language variant of the Sanskrit title ''Raja'', a term for a monarch or princely ruler. ''Dhananjay'' is a 2017 Indian Bengali language drama film directed by Arindam Sil and produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni under the banner of SVF Entertainment. The film featuring Mimi Chakraborty, Anirban Bhattacharya and Kaushik Sen, is story of Dhananjoy Chatterjee, a security guard hanged for the rape and murder of a student. Dhananjay Bhimrao Mahadik is an Indian politician from Kolhapur district in Maharashtra state. He is a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha (2014–2019) from Kolhapur as an NCP candidate. Dhananjay Mahadik is a Nephew of Mahadevrao Mahadik alias Appa Mahadik.
