"(You're the) Devil in Disguise" is a 1963 single by Elvis Presley. It was written by Bill Giant, Bernie Baum, and Florence Kaye and was published by Elvis Presley Music in June 1963. The song peaked at No. 3 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 on August 10, 1963, and No. 9 on the ''Billboard'' Rhythm and Blues chart, becoming his final top-ten single on the Rhythm and Blues chart. The song also topped Japan's Utamatic (Nihon Goraku Bussan) record chart in the fall of 1963. The single was certified gold by the RIAA for sales in excess of 500,000 units in the US. In June 1963, when the song was debuted to a British audience on the BBC television show ''Juke Box Jury'', celebrity guest John Lennon voted the song "a miss", opining that Presley had become "like Bing Crosby". Harold Ray Bradley (January 2, 1926 – January 31, 2019) was an American guitarist and entrepreneur, who was primarily a session musician who played on numerous country, rock and pop recordings, as well as producing numerous TV variety shows and movie soundtracks. Winfield Scott Moore III (December 27, 1931 – June 28, 2016) was an American guitarist who formed The Blue Moon Boys in 1954, Elvis Presley's backing band. The Jordanaires were an American vocal quartet that formed as a gospel group in 1948. Billy Rhodes Porter (June 15, 1931 – July 7, 2010) was an American audio engineer who helped shape the Nashville sound and recorded stars such as Chet Atkins, Louis Armstrong, the Everly Brothers, Elvis Presley, Gladys Knight, Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Skeeter Davis, Ike & Tina Turner, Sammy Davis Jr., and Roy Orbison from the late 1950s through the 1980s.
