Devils Peak is an mountain summit located in western Okanogan County in Washington state. It is part of the Okanogan Range which is a sub-range of the North Cascades Range. The mountain is situated in the Pasayten Wilderness, on land administered by the Okanogan–Wenatchee National Forest. The nearest higher neighbor is Robinson Mountain, to the east-southeast, and Slate Peak is set to the west. Precipitation runoff from Devils Peak drains west into Robinson Creek, and east into Eureka Creek, which are both part of the Methow River drainage basin. Climate Most weather fronts originate in the Pacific Ocean, and travel northeast toward the Cascade Mountains. As fronts approach the North Cascades, they are forced upward by the peaks of the Cascade Range, causing them to drop their moisture in the form of rain or snowfall onto the Cascades (Orographic lift). Devil's Peak is part of the mountainous backdrop to Cape Town, Cape Town, South Africa. When looking at Table Mountain from the city centre, or when looking towards the city across Table Bay, the skyline from left to right consists of Devil's Peak, the flat summit of Table Mountain, the peak of Lion's Head (Cape Town), Lion's Head, and Signal Hill (Cape Town), Signal Hill. Devil's Peak ( ) is a peak in Sai Kung District, Hong Kong. The communities of Tiu Keng Leng, Lei Yue Mun and Yau Tong surround this peak. It was designated as a Grade II historic building in December 2009 and is currently located on unallocated government land under the jurisdiction of the Lands Department. This military installation is mainly composed of the fortress, Gough Fort and Pottinger Fort, which serve as the east coast design headquarters. Devil's Hill faces the narrow Lei Yue Mun Channel, where you can watch the ships coming from the east of Victoria Harbour. After the British leased the New Territories in 1898, they selected Devil's Hill to build military defense facilities and made it an important military stronghold.
