Desensitized (Drowning Pool Album)
''Desensitized'' is the second studio album by American rock band Drowning Pool. It was their first album since the death of vocalist Dave Williams as well as the only album to feature replacement vocalist Jason Jones. The album debuted at number 17 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. The album cover features porn star Jesse Jane. ''Desensitized'' shows less nu metal elements than Drowning Pool's previous album, '' Sinner''. Jones left the band soon after the album's release because of personal and musical differences. "Step Up" was featured in the 2004 film ''The Punisher'' and was the theme song for WWE's WrestleMania XX. It was also featured in the compilation album '' MTV2 Headbangers Ball, Vol. 2''. Drowning Pool
Drowning Pool is an American rock band formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1996. The band was named after the 1975 film '' The Drowning Pool''. Since its formation, the band has consisted of guitarist C.J. Pierce, drummer Mike Luce and bassist Stevie Benton, as well as a revolving cast of vocalists. After the release of their debut album, '' Sinner'' (2001), original vocalist Dave Williams was found dead on August 14, 2002, from heart disease. Jason Jones, who replaced Williams in 2003, recorded one album, '' Desensitized'' (2004), but left in 2005 due to musical differences. Ryan McCombs of band SOiL, later replaced Jones and released two albums, '' Full Circle'' (2007) and '' Drowning Pool'' (2010), making it the first time Drowning Pool had not switched singers after just one album. Drowning is a type of suffocation induced by the submersion of the mouth and nose in a liquid. Submersion injury refers to both drowning and near-miss incidents. Most instances of fatal drowning occur alone or in situations where others present are either unaware of the victim's situation or unable to offer assistance. After successful resuscitation, drowning victims may experience breathing problems, confusion, or unconsciousness. Armoury Studios is a Canadian recording studio located in Vancouver, British Columbia's Kitsilano neighbourhood. Jason "Gong" Jones is an American musician, singer and songwriter. He was the frontman and vocalist of rock band Drowning Pool from 2003 to 2005, providing vocals for the band's 2004 album '' Desensitized'' after Dave Williams' death.
