Denmark In The Eurovision Song Contest 2010
Denmark was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song " In a Moment like This" written by Thomas G:son, Henrik Sethsson and Erik Bernholm. The song was performed by Chanée and N'evergreen. The Danish broadcaster DR organised the national final ''Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2010'' in order to select the Danish entry for the 2010 contest in Oslo, Norway. Ten songs competed in a televised show where the winner was selected over three rounds of voting. The results of the first round were decided upon through the combination of jury voting and public voting while the results in the second and third round were determined solely by public televoting. "In a Moment like This" performed by Chanée and N'evergreen was the winner after gaining the most public votes in the third round. Christina Chanée (born 6 January 1979, Christina Ratchanée Birch Wongskul) is a Danish- Thai pop singer who won the '' Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2010'' with Tomas N'evergreen, with the song " In a Moment Like This". Peter Bjørnskov, also known as just Bjørnskov, (born in Horsens, Denmark in 1981) is a Danish singer, songwriter and record producer. He is part of the songwriting team Startone Music with Sune Haansbæk and Lene Dissing. He has also released solo singles. He was previously part of the Danish band Neeva. In Neeva He started his career as a drummer in the Danish pop rock band Neeva, with Kenneth Potempa as the lead singer. DR Byen (; ) is the headquarters of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, DR, located in Copenhagen, Denmark, in the northwestern part of Amager. Bent Fabricius-Bjerre (7 December 1924 – 28 July 2020), better known internationally as Bent Fabric, was a Danish pianist and composer. Biography Bent Fabricius-Bjerre was born in Frederiksberg, Denmark. He started a jazz ensemble after World War II and founded a label, Metronome Records, in 1950. He released a series of ten inch albums on the Metronome label entitled 50 Years Of Evergreens in 1955, under the pseudonym Frank Barcley. However, he is best known for his 1961 instrumental "Omkring et flygel" (literally, "Around a Grand Piano") which became a hit in Denmark. Charlotte Fenger (born 2 December 1961), known by the stage name Søs Fenger, is a Danish vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter. Since the mid 1980s she has been one of the most successful names in Danish music. She has released numerous albums, both as a solo artist and in collaboration with other groups.
