''Fair and Warmer'' is a three-act comedy play by the American writer Avery Hopwood. It was first staged at the Eltinge Theatre in New York City on November 15, 1915, running for 377 performances, featuring Madge Kennedy, John Cumberland, Janet Beecher, Ralph Morgan, Hamilton Revelle, Olive May, Robert Fisher and Harry Lorraine (American actor), Harry Lorraine. Avery Hopwood
James Avery Hopwood (May 28, 1882 – July 1, 1928) was an American playwright of the Jazz Age. He had four plays running simultaneously on Broadway in 1920, namely "The Gold Diggers," "The Bat" and "Spanish Love" and "Ladies' Night (In a Turkish Bath)". Early life Hopwood was born to James and Jule Pendergast Hopwood on May 28, 1882, in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Cleveland's West High School in 1900. In 1901, he began attending the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. However, his family experienced financial difficulties, so for his second year he transferred to Adelbert College. He returned to the University of Michigan in the fall of 1903, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1905. Rolv Helge Wesenlund (17 September 1936 – 18 August 2013) was a Norway, Norwegian comedian, singer, clarinetist, writer and actor. Biography Wesenlund was most known for having portrayed the title character in the musical Bør Børson Jr. (musical), Bør Børson jr. and movies ''Bør Børson Jr. (1974 film), Bør Børson jr.'', ''Bør Børson II'', and the TV series ''Fleksnes Fataliteter'', a popular Scandinavian sitcom, with a huge number of fans in Sweden, Denmark as well as Norway. The show was mainly an adaption of the British series ''Hancock's Half Hour''. Elsa Lystad (9 July 1930 – 26 December 2023) was a Norwegian film and stage actress. She was a recipient of the Leonard Statuette, the King's Medal of Merit, the Amanda Honorary Award, and Gullruten. Career Lystad made her stage debut in 1956, and her breakthrough as actress came in the mid-1960s. She has since been a central actress in Norwegian film, theatre, television and radio. Lystad was assigned to Det Norske Teatret from 1958 to 1964, and thereafter Chat Noir, Fjernsynsteatret, Oslo Nye Teater, and Den Nationale Scene until 1980. Brit Elisabeth Haagensli (born 24 August 1953) is a Norwegian actress and singer, known from theatre and revue productions, television and several films. Haagensli grew up in Asker. Since 1981, she has used the most of her summers to do theatre productions, and many of these on the summer revue in Stavern.
