Delta State House Of Assembly
The Delta State House of Assembly is the state legislature of Delta State. It is situated along Okpanam road, in the state capital, Asaba. The house is currently under the rulership of Peoples Democratic Party (Nigeria), People's Democratic Party, which has been the rulling party of the state since 1999. There have been eight different assemblies, with the first one inaugurated in 1991 during the administration of Felix Ibru, Olorogun Felix Ibru, which later came to an end in 1992. The current and eight assembly was inaugurated on 13 June 2023, with Emomotimi Guwor emerging the speaker. Leadership The speaker of the house is Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor, who is the member representing Warri South West constituency. Felix Ibru
Felix Ovudoroye Ibru (7 December 1935 – 12 March 2016) was a Nigerian architect the first democratically elected Governor of Delta State and Senator for Delta Central Senatorial District. Until his death he held the position of President General of the Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU). As a traditional chieftain of his homeland, Ibru bore the tribal honorific Olorogun and often used it as a pre-nominal style. This title is also borne by many of the members of his large family in the same way. Okpe
Okpe is a kingdom in Delta State, Nigeria. Today, it is also the name of a local government area. It is one of the many kingdoms that make up Urhobo People, Urhobo tribe. Its capital is Orerokpe. Isoko South is a local government area (LGA) in the Isoko region of Delta State, Nigeria. With its headquarters at Oleh, Nigeria, it is one of the two local governments that make up the Isoko region. The other is Isoko North, which has its headquarters at Ozoro. Isoko North
Isoko North is one of two Local Government Areas (LGA) in the Isoko region of Delta State, southern Nigeria – the other being Isoko South.
