Delta (orienteering Club)
Delta was an orienteering club in western Uusimaa of Finland. It formed in 1992 when three clubs started with joint teams and activities. Delta later dissolved in 2012. Hiidenkiertäjät then promised to keep training the best runners. The initial participating clubs were Hiidenkiertäjät from Lohja, Karkki-Rasti from Karkkila, and Rasti-Vihti from Vihti. Results Delta won the Jukola relay in 2008 with a team formed by , , Leonid Novikov, , , Olle Kärner, and Valentin Novikov. Heikka and Novikov went first. Orienteering is a group of sports that involve using a map and compass to navigation, navigate from point to point in diverse and usually unfamiliar terrain whilst moving at speed. Leonid Novikov (born 10 January 1984) is a Russian orienteering competitor. He won a gold medal in the middle distance at the 2013 World Orienteering Championships. and a silver medal in the long distance at the 2017 world championships.
