Death Walks On High Heels
''Death Walks on High Heels'' (, ) is a 1971 giallo film directed and co-produced by Luciano Ercoli. It starred Frank Wolff and Susan Scott, co-written by Ernesto Gastaldi, with music by Stelvio Cipriani. It was also released as ''Death Stalks in High Heels'' and ''Nights of Love and Terror''. Plot A beautiful French stripper named Nicole Rochard (Susan Scott) learns that her father was stabbed to death on a train, and she is questioned by the police about some missing diamonds. It transpires that Nicole’s father, Ernest Rochard, was a famed thief although he had since "gone straight". Shortly after this Nicole begins receiving threatening phone calls from a mysterious character who uses a voice changer. Later while performing at nightclubs Nicole is watched and filmed by a distinguished looking gentleman (Frank Wolff), who meets her in person in her dressing room after sending her flowers. Luciano Ercoli
Luciano Ercoli (19 October 1929 – 15 March 2015) was an Italian film director, screenwriter, producer and unit production manager. Ercoli's career spanned approximately two decades before his retirement in the late 1970s, and saw him direct several films in the giallo genre, as well producing several Spaghetti Westerns. Ercoli was married to Spanish actress Nieves Navarro, who has appeared in several of the films he worked on. Life and career Ercoli was born in Rome, Italy, on 19 October 1929. His first film credit was as an assistant director for the 1955 film ''Rice Girl'', directed by Raffaello Matarazzo. Ercoli then acted as a film producer on several titles throughout the 1960s, before making his directorial début in 1970, helming the giallo film ''Le foto proibite di una signora per bene'', which he also produced and film editing, edited. José Manuel Martín
José Manuel Martín Pérez (24 May 1924 – 12 April 2006) was a Spanish film and television actor, radio broadcaster, and screenwriter. He was a popular character actor in Spanish cinema during the 1950s and 60s, best remembered for playing villainous henchmen, appearing in more than 100 film and television productions.
