''Deal or No Deal'' is a video game based upon the American television show Deal or No Deal (U.S. game show), of the same name. It was released for Microsoft Windows, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, Wii, iOS, Android (operating system), Android and BlackBerry, and is available as a DVD TV game. Reception The Wii version of ''Deal or No Deal'' received "mixed" reviews, while the PC and DS versions received "generally unfavorable reviews", according to the Review aggregator, review aggregation website Metacritic. IGN criticized the Wii version's character design, calling it "freaktacular". The same website also highly criticized the DS version for its dodgy graphics and called it "broken" (due to the fact that whenever the system is shut down, the money goes back into the same case from the previous game the next time the game is played). Howie Mandel
Howard Michael Mandel (born November 29, 1955) is a Canadian comedian, television personality, actor, and producer. Mandel is known for voicing Gizmo in the 1984 film ''Gremlins'' and the 1990 sequel ''Gremlins 2: The New Batch'', playing rowdy ER resident Dr. Wayne Fiscus on the NBC medical drama ''St. Elsewhere'', and creating and starring in the Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox children's cartoon ''Bobby's World''. ''Deal or No Deal'' is the name of several closely related television game shows, the first of which (launching the format) was the Dutch '' Miljoenenjacht'' (''Hunt/Chase for Millions''). The centerpiece of this format is the final round (a.k.a. the "case game" or "main game") which is played with up to 26 cases (or, in some versions, boxes), each containing randomly assigned sums of money. After the player for the case game is determined, this contender claims one case or a box at the start of the game, without its contents being revealed. The contestant then chooses the other cases or boxes, one at a time, to be immediately opened and removed from play. A review aggregator is a system that collects reviews and ratings of products and services, such as films, books, video games, music, software, hardware, or cars. Metacritic is an American website that aggregates reviews of films, television shows, music albums, video games, and formerly books. For each product, the scores from each review are averaged (a weighted average). Metacritic was created by Jason Dietz, Marc Doyle, and Julie Doyle Roberts in 1999, and was acquired by Fandom, Inc. in 2022. Metacritic turns each critic and user review into respective percentage score. This can be done either by calculating the score from the rating given or by making a subjective decision based on the review's quality. GameRankings was a video gaming review aggregator that was founded in 1999 and owned by CBS Interactive. It indexed over 315,000 articles relating to more than 14,500 video games. GameRankings was discontinued in December 2019, with its staff being merged with the similar aggregator Metacritic. Rankings GameRankings collected and linked to (but did not host) reviews from other websites and magazines and averages specific ones.
