Diana Nicole DeGarmo (born June 16, 1987) is an American singer. She rose to fame in 2004 as the runner-up of the third season of ''American Idol'', releasing her debut studio album, '' Blue Skies'', later that year. The following year, DeGarmo ventured into a career in musical theatre. She has starred in two Broadway, one off-Broadway and three national tours. She made her television acting debut in a six-month arc as Angelina Veneziano on ''The Young and the Restless.'' DeGarmo has since released two extended plays, ''Unplugged in Nashville'' (2009) and ''Live to Love'' (2012). She is married to fifth season ''American Idol'' finalist Ace Young. Charles De Garmo
Charles De Garmo (also spelled DeGarmo; January 7, 1849 – May 14, 1934) was an American educator, education theorist and college president. Biography DeGarmo was born in Mukwonago, Wisconsin, on January 7, 1849. His parents moved to Sterling, Illinois, in 1852 and later to Lebanon, Illinois. In 1865, at the age of sixteen, DeGarmo enlisted in the Union Army. Upon his return from service, DeGarmo enrolled at Illinois State Normal University (ISNU) in 1870, where he would graduate in 1873. Following his graduation in 1873, DeGarmo moved to Naples, Illinois, where he was principal of an Illinois graded school. In 1876, DeGarmo returned to Normal, Illinois, serving as principal of the Grammar Department of its Model School at ISNU until 1883. Alongside Edmund J. James, Edmund James, DeGarmo helped found the ''Illinois School Journal'' in 1881, which became the leading publication in Illinois for educational discussions of teaching pedagogy and theories. Chris DeGarmo
Christopher Lee DeGarmo (born June 14, 1963) is an American guitarist and songwriter, best known for being the former co-guitarist, backing vocalist, and primary songwriter in the progressive metal band Queensrÿche from their formation in 1980 until 1997, and with whom he played during their most commercially successful period. He briefly returned for collaborations in 2003 and 2007. DeGarmo was a member of Jerry Cantrell's band during his 1998 solo tour, and also contributed to his 2002 album, '' Degradation Trip''. In 1999, he co-founded the short-lived supergroup Spys4Darwin with Alice in Chains drummer Sean Kinney. Since departing from Queensrÿche, DeGarmo has made his living as a professional private jet pilot. Torgeir Garmo
Torgeir T. Garmo (born 13 March 1941) is a Norwegian hotelier, rock collector, non-fiction writer and politician for the Centre and Liberal parties. Garmo was a member of Lom municipal council for the Centre Party. In 1979, he quit his membership together with mayor Kristen Brandsar. Ahead of the 1981 Norwegian parliamentary election, the Centre and Liberal parties decided to contest the election through a common list. While each party fielded their independent ballots, one candidate could become a deputy for another party's candidate. The Centre Party's top candidate Lars Velsand warned that the now-Liberal Garmo could be his deputy, instead of the Centre Party's preferred deputies Syver Berge and Maj-Britt Svastuen. Mary DeGarmo Bryan
Mary deGarmo Bryan (August 1891 – May 12, 1986) was an American dietician and professor at Columbia University and served as the second president of the American Dietetic Association (ADA). She helped pioneer the federal school National Lunch Program in the United States and also served as an editor and nutrition adviser. Early life Mary Cora deGarmo was born in Warrensburg, Missouri, the daughter of Frank deGarmo and Mary O'Donnell deGarmo. Bryan had one sister, Margaret deGarmo Payne, and the two were educated by their mother throughout their adolescence.
