David Wilson (Canadian Politician)
Harold David Wilson (born November 4, 1955) is a former Canadians, Canadian politician and radio personality. He represented the electoral district of Glace Bay (electoral district), Glace Bay in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1999 to 2010. He was a member of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party. He resigned his Glace Bay seat on March 11, 2010, amid controversy, refusing to meet with the provincial auditor general about his MLA expense claims. Prior to entering politics, Wilson worked in the Cape Breton Island, Cape Breton media for 24 years. He worked for CHER-FM, 950 CHER radio, CTV Television Network, CTV Television, and CJCB (AM), CJCB Radio, where he hosted the popular "Talkback" radio program. The 2009 Nova Scotia general election was held on June 9, 2009 to elect members of the 61st House of Assembly of the Province of Nova Scotia, Canada. The Nova Scotia parliamentary expenses scandal concerned the excessive expenses of several members of the Nova Scotia legislative assembly and the inadequacy of management processes and rules.
