David Perno
David Perno (born July 5, 1967) is an American college baseball coach (baseball), coach who most recently served as the head baseball coach at the University of Georgia. In 12 seasons he compiled a record of 384-329-1. He led the program to five NCAA Division I Baseball Championship, NCAA tournaments, including three College World Series. He was named the 2004 Coach of the Year by Baseball America. That same year, he won his first SEC championship. His 2006 team went 47–23, but the next year, however, they went 23–33. In 2008, his team did much better, going 45–25–1 (20–9–1 SEC) and won his second SEC championship. That one tie was at LSU Tigers, LSU due to an SEC travel curfew. He was named the SEC coach of the year and was the national runner-up to the Fresno State Bulldogs at the College World Series. He is a former player and assistant coach at Georgia. Dave Van Horn
David Kevin Van Horn (born September 17, 1960) is an American college baseball coach and former infielder, who is the head baseball coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks baseball, Arkansas Razorbacks. Van Horn won a Division II national title in 1994 while he was the head coach at Central Missouri. Playing career Born in Stanton, California, Van Horn graduated from Winnetonka High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 1979. He then played junior college baseball at McLennan Community College in Texas for two years, earning all-conference and all-region honors as a freshman, while helping the Highlanders finish third in the JUCO World Series. His next season brought more individual and team success, as the team finished eighth in the nation and Van Horn earned All-America, All American and Region 5 Player of the Year accolades. The 2011 NCAA Division I baseball tournament began on Friday, June 3, 2011 as part of the 2011 NCAA Division I baseball season. The 64 team double elimination tournament concluded with the 2011 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 29, 2011. This was the first CWS at the new venue, TD Ameritrade Park, after closing Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium, which hosted the series since 1950.
