A True Daughter Of The Party
''A True Daughter of the Party'' () is a North Korean revolutionary opera. First performed in 1971, it is credited to Kim Jong Il. The opera is considered one of the "Five Great Revolutionary Operas", a group of classical, revolution-themed opera repertoires well received within North Korea. ''A True Daughter of the Party'' is the only one of the five set during the Korean War. It is performed with a male chorus, a smaller female chorus, with Western musical instruments, principally brass and strings. Plot During the Korean War, Kang Yong-ok serves in the Taebaek Mountains as a nurse for injured Korean People's Army soldiers as they fight against the American forces. Changchun Film Studio Group Corporation () is a Chinese film production company in Changchun. It is one of the studios transitioned from the 1940s, and has been considered one of the cornerstones of the Cinema of China, Chinese film industry. Early history The surrender of Japan in World War II caused the Manchukuo Film Association to disband in 1946. The parts that were sanctioned by the Chinese government would integrate with the Yan'an Film Studio () and the Northeast Film Studio. The Chinese Civil War, War of Liberation would break out in 1949 forcing the studio to move to Changchun. By 1950 it was considered founded, and by 1955 the Northeast Film Studio technically no longer existed, since China's Ministry of Culture (China), Ministry of Culture would officially rename the newly combined entity as "Changchun Film Studio".
