In Indian religions, ''Darshana'', also spelt ''Darshan'', (Sanskrit: दर्शन, , ) or ''Darshanam'' (darśanam) is the auspicious sight of a deity or a holy person. The term also refers to six traditional schools of Hindu philosophy and their literature on spirituality and soteriology. Etymology The word darshana, also in the forms of ''darśana'' or ''darshanam'', comes from Sanskrit दर्शन, from ''dṛś'', 'to see', vision, apparition or glimpse. Definition ''Darshana'' is described as an "auspicious sight" of a holy person, which bestows merit on the viewer. It is most commonly used for theophany, meaning a manifestation or vision of the divine, in Hindu worship, e.g. of a deity (especially in image form), or a very holy person or artifact. One can receive ''darshana'' or a glimpse of the deity in the temple, or from a great saintly person, such as a great guru. Darshana Railway Station
Darshana ( bn, দর্শনা) is a border railway station in Darsana, Bangladesh, situated in Damurhuda Upazila of Chuadanga District, in Khulna Division. It is a rail transit point and a border checkpoint on the India-Bangladesh border. History Darshana to Jagotee, Kushtia rail line was first opened on 15 November 1861. It was long broad gauge line. It is the first rail road in East Bengal. This rail road established sugarcane supply chain between Darsana (Carew) and Jagotee Sugar mills. Later on this rail road was extended up to Goalundo Ghat. Ranju Darshana (Nepali: रन्जु दर्शना) (born as Ranju Neupane on 3 March 1996) is a Nepalese youth activist and politician. She has been active in politics from very young age of seventeen. She became an iconic person after her candidacy for mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City in the Nepalese local level election of 2017.
