Darshan Singh (field Hockey)
Darshan Singh Kular (born 15 April 1938 in Sansarpur, Punjab) is a former Indian field hockey player who now lives in Telford, United Kingdom. In 1961, he played for India in the international hockey tournament at Ahemdabad and scored 22 goals. In the semi-final, he scored a double hat-trick against Holland. Darshan Singh (spiritual Master)
Darshan Singh (1921–1989), also known as Sant Darshan Singh Ji Maharaj, was the founder and head of Sawan Kirpal Ruhani Mission / Science of Spirituality from 1974 until his death in 1989. The spiritual successor of Kirpal Singh, Singh was also widely recognized as one of India's leading poet-saints, writing in the Urdu language. Upon his sudden death on 30 May 1989, he was succeeded by Rajinder Singh. Biography Born in India on September 14, 1921, Singh was the son of Kirpal Singh. Darshan Singh Canadian (born Darshan A. Sangha in 1917 – 25 September 1986) was a Sikh trade union activist and communist organizer in Canada and India. Canada Darshan Singh Canadian immigrated to Vancouver, Canada in 1937. Upon his arrival, his uncle attempted to get him a job at Dominion Sawmills resulting in the uncle being fired and Sangha being hired at five cents less pay an hour. He became active in the Labor-Progressive Party (as the Communist Party of Canada was known). He was one of the founders of the International Woodworkers of America and served as one of the union's organizers as well as its general secretary from 1942 to 1946. He led striking woodworkers on a march on the provincial capital of Victoria in 1946. He fought for the rights of B.C.'s East Indian woodworkers.
