Darren Ng
Darren Ng ( zh, c=黄立人, p=Huáng Lìrén; born 18 December 1983) is an Australian former professional basketball player. Ng was known as one of the better three-point shooters in the National Basketball League (NBL). He decided to sit out the 2012–13 NBL season for family and career reasons, being a new father and a practising physician as a resident doctor at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH). For the 2013–14 NBL season, Ng returned to the 36ers, not as a player but as the club doctor. Early life Ng is the oldest child of a practicing Adelaide GP. Both of his younger brothers have also finished medical school making a total of four fully qualified doctors in the Ng family. Born and bred in Adelaide, Ng went to St Peter's College and it was in Year 10 that he decided to pursue a career in medicine. Shooting Guard

Cairns Taipans
The Cairns Taipans are an Australian professional basketball team based in Cairns, Queensland. The Taipans compete in the National Basketball League (NBL) and play their home games at the Cairns Convention Centre, known colloquially as "The Snakepit". Adelaide Arena (known commercially as Adelaide 36ers Arena) is a multipurpose indoor sports stadium located in Findon, an inner western suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is the former home arena for the Adelaide 36ers of the NBL and the current home arena of the Adelaide Lightning of the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL). In the past, it has served as an alternate venue for Adelaide's Suncorp Super Netball team, the Adelaide Thunderbirds. The Gold Coast Blaze were an Australian men's professional basketball team which competed in the National Basketball League (NBL). The Blaze played five seasons in the NBL between 2007 and 2012, and played their home games at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on the Gold Coast in Queensland. Kirk Penney
Kirk Samuel Penney (born 23 November 1980) is a New Zealand former professional basketball player. He is the all-time leading scorer for New Zealand's national team and he ranks 12th all-time in points scored at the FIBA World Cup. In 2024, he was inducted in the FIBA Hall of Fame. Penney played four years of college basketball for the Wisconsin Badgers between 1999 and 2003, where he was twice named first-team all-conference and as an all-American.
