Dancing With The Stars (U.S. Season 5)
Season five of ''Dancing with the Stars'' premiered on September 24, 2007, with a special three-night premiere week, on the ABC network. As with previous seasons, CTV Television Network aired the series in Canada. On November 27, 2007, IndyCar driver Hélio Castroneves and Julianne Hough were crowned the champions, while Spice Girls singer Mel B and Maksim Chmerkovskiy finished in second place, and entertainer Marie Osmond and Jonathan Roberts finished third. Edyta Śliwińska (; born May 6, 1981) is a Polish professional ballroom dancer who is starring in the stage show Dance Temptation. Jonathan Roberts (born Jonathan Robert Stubenrauch; April 20, 1974) is an American professional ballroom dancer. He decided to take up dancing after he received a free trial at a local dance studio and enjoyed it. He currently resides in California. Achievements Jonathan Roberts is most well known for dancing on the United States version of ''Dancing with the Stars'' and choreographing routines on ''So You Think You Can Dance''. Cha-cha-cha (dance)
The cha-cha-cha (also called cha-cha) is a dance of Cuban origin. It is danced to cha-cha-cha music introduced by the Cuban composer and violinist Enrique Jorrin in the early 1950s. This rhythm was developed from the danzón-mambo. The name of the dance is an onomatopoeia derived from the shuffling sound of the dancers' feet when they dance two consecutive quick steps that characterize the dance. In the early 1950s, Enrique Jorrín worked as a violinist and composer with the charanga group Orquesta América. The group performed at dance halls in Havana where they played danzón, danzonete, and danzon-mambo for dance-oriented crowds. Jorrín noticed that many of the dancers at these gigs had difficulty with the syncopated rhythms of the danzón-mambo. To make his music more appealing to dancers, Jorrín began composing songs where the melody was marked strongly on the first downbeat and the rhythm was less syncopated. Andrew John Lachey (born August 8, 1976) is an American singer and occasional actor. Season two of ''Dancing with the Stars'' premiered on January 5, 2006, on the ABC network. This season expanded each episode from an hour to 90 minutes, and added an hour-long results show the following night. On February 26, 98 Degrees singer Drew Lachey and Cheryl Burke were crowned the champions, while San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jerry Rice and Anna Trebunskaya finished in second place, and WWE wrestler Stacy Keibler and Tony Dovolani finished third. Season fifteen of ''Dancing with the Stars (American TV series), Dancing with the Stars'', called ''Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars'', premiered on September 24, 2012, on the American Broadcasting Company, ABC network. The Cheetah Girls were an American girl group formed in 2002, primarily consisting of Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Kiely Williams, and Sabrina Bryan.
