Delain is a Dutch symphonic metal band formed in 2002 by former Within Temptation keyboardist Martijn Westerholt, intending for the band to be solely a project. Singer Charlotte Wessels was invited to join in 2005. In February 2021, the members parted ways while Westerholt stated he would continue the band as a solo project. In June 2021, Westerholt announced that there would be a new lineup involving former and new members, with Diana Leah later being announced as the new lead vocalist in August 2022. As of 2025, Delain have released seven studio albums, three EPs, one live album and nineteen music videos. Napalm Records is an Austrian independent record label focused on heavy metal, hard rock and folk/folk rock/folk metal. David Martijn Westerholt (born 30 March 1979) is a Netherlands, Dutch musician and the founder, keyboardist and main songwriter of the symphonic metal band Delain. He was previously a member of symphonic metal band Within Temptation, until he was diagnosed with infectious mononucleosis shortly after the release of Within Temptation's second full-length studio album, ''Mother Earth (Within Temptation album), Mother Earth''. His brother Robert Westerholt, Robert is the guitarist and founder of Within Temptation. He has lived in Zwolle, since studying Communication studies, Communication at Christelijke Hogeschool Windesheim, Windesheim College in 1998. ''Dark Waters'' is the seventh studio album by Dutch symphonic metal band Delain. It was released on 10 February 2023 via Napalm Records. It is the first studio album to feature Ludovico Cioffi on bass and Diana Leah on lead vocals. The album also marks the return of drummer Sander Zoer and original guitarist Ronald Landa. Background On 15 February 2021, it was announced that Delain's lineup had split up, and that it would be continuing with a new lineup that Westerholt stated would continue to "keep Delain alive", which consists of new and previous members. The band's new lineup was fully announced on the release of the first single, "The Quest and the Curse", on 9 August 2022, as well as announcing their new lead vocalist, Diana Leah. Johanna Kurkela (born 25 April 1985) is a Finnish singer. Her first published work was a duet ''Tahdon tanssia kanssasi'' with Tomi Metsäketo in 2004. Kurkela released her first album ''Hetki hiljaa'' in 2005. She got a lot of publicity in the Finnish Preselection final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, presenting the song ''Olet uneni kaunein''. Kurkela ended up sixth in the preselection final. 4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. The Shunga would add a horizontal line on top of the digit, and the Kshatrapa and Pallava evolved the digit to a point where the speed of writing was a secondary concern.
