The fifth season of Dance Moms, an American dance reality television created by Collins Avenue Productions, began airing on January 6, 2015, on Lifetime's television network. The season concluded on August 18, 2015. A total of 32 official episodes and 2 special episodes (Girl Talk 2, Slumber Party!) aired this season. Abby Lee Miller
Abigale Lee Miller (born September 21, 1965) is an American television personality who founded the Abby Lee Dance Company, which appeared on the reality television series '' Dance Moms'' for eight seasons. On June 27, 2016, Miller pleaded guilty to felony bankruptcy fraud. She was sentenced to one year and a day in federal prison, and was released on March 27, 2018. In April 2018, she developed lymphoma, a form of cancer that made her unable to walk. Early life Miller was born on September 21, 1965, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the child of a dance teacher and a dance studio owner, her parents were George Lamar Miller (1927 - 2000), and Maryen Lorrain Miller (1927 - 2014).
