Daily's Place Amphitheater
Daily's Place is an amphitheater in Downtown Jacksonville, Florida. The venue is connected to the south end of EverBank Stadium and shares space with a "flex field" indoor practice facility for the Jacksonville Jaguars. It opened in May 2017 and seats 5,500 spectators. Since 2019, the amphitheater has become nationally known as the home venue for the U.S. professional wrestling promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Naming rights were secured by Daily's, a local convenience store chain. Background The venue was first proposed in 2009 as a complete renovation of the aging pavilion tent at Metropolitan Park. On March 1, 2020, the U.S. state of Florida officially reported its first two COVID-19 cases in Manatee County, Florida, Manatee and Hillsborough County, Florida, Hillsborough counties. AEW Fight for the Fallen is a professional wrestling event produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Established in 2019, it is held as a charity event for different causes, which is a reference to the event's title. These events have helped raise money to support victims of different types of violence, people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, and various other non-profit organizations and natural disaster relief. Mark Lamping is the current team president of the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was formerly CEO of the MetLife Stadium. Prior to his stint in New York, he was president of the St. Louis Cardinals Major League Baseball team, a post he held from September 1, 1994, until March 13, 2008. Lamping is now a non-executive director of English association football team Fulham F.C., Fulham, which is owned by Jaguars owner Shahid Khan. VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena (originally Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena) is a multi-purpose arena located in Jacksonville, Florida. It currently serves as the home arena of the Jacksonville Icemen of the ECHL, and the Jacksonville Sharks of the Indoor Football League.
