DYRJ (100.3 FM) is a relay station of RJFM Manila, owned and operated by Rajah Broadcasting Network through its licensee Free Air Broadcasting Network, Inc. The station's transmitter is located at the 10th Floor, Ludo and Luym Building, Plaridel Street, Cebu City. History The station was established in 1987 as RJFM. At that time, it aired an album rock format, similar to its former AM station in Manila. In 1996, it changed its name to Boss Radio. In 2000, it rebranded as The Hive and switched to a modern rock format. In 2003, it became a relay station of RJ 100.3 with limited local advertising. History It was once DZUW-AM, originally broadcasting on 1310 kHz on the AM band and it was originally owned by Republic Broadcasting System (now GMA Network, Inc.), but was moved to the FM band in 1973 on 100.3 MHz. Ramón Pereyra Jacinto (born June 3, 1945), best known by his initials RJ, is a Filipino businessman, musician and radio TV personality. He previously served as Undersecretary for Government Digital Broadcast Television and the Digitization of the Entertainment Industry Sector in Department of Information and Communications Technology. He is also the founder and chairman of Philippine rock-and-roll radio station DZRJ and the Rajah Broadcasting Network.
